Dementia Training Services
So you understand what Lily Pins is all about, and you recognise the need for industry specific training, but you already have a Hairdresser who your residents and management team are committed to?
Then why not choose Lily Pins Training to train your current hairdresser, enabling them to offer the very best and compliant service to all of your clients?
As we campaign as a company to work towards a more adequately trained industry, Managing Director and Dementia Hairdressing veteran Jenny Twigg has built a bespoke, certified training programme which is now being offered directly to care providers, care homes and hairdressers alike.
Using her own experience and qualifications as a recognised Dementia Trainer, with QCF Diploma Level 3 Certificate in Dementia Care and PTTLS teaching qualification, Jenny’s Lily Pins’ Training Days are available in formats tailored to suit the needs of our different customers; from a one-to-one experience, or a group training day, ideal for outside service providers offering professional services, to an entire Care group.
We can deliver training in your facility, or at our training locations in Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth in Hertfordshire, or Harlow in Essex.
Lily Pins training courses educate hairdressers, footcare specialists and beauticians with modules around the topics of:
Seeing life through the eyes of someone living with Dementia
How to adapt customer service skills and use professional techniques to encompass the specific needs of vulnerable and Dementia client groups
How to use and adapt Health & Safety, Moving & Handling and POVA training for the above group
How to maximise engagement, improve communication, recognise and react to signs of discomfort
How to rapport build with clients and their families, as well as carers and care home management teams to build individual client profiles and maximise client base
Following the training session, candidates are given Lily Pins Dementia literature and training materials for continued referral
